For each visitor of the eadp.info website, we collect as little data about your visit as possible. These few statistics that we collect, are useful to us as we like to know how many unique visitors we reach each month and which pages are of interest to readers. This allows us to make strategic decisions in future on how to update and improve our website so we can engage with our audience even better.


The following information is automatically collected and stored:


The date, time, and referrals from other websites of your visit and if you used a mobile device or computer to access our website. This information is only stored as bulk statistics (e.g., the share of users among all users who visited the website with a mobile device), not on the individual level.


Only the administrators (council members) have access to these data. The information is never shared with external parties.


Our website does not use Google Analytics and Facebook Analytics. However, our website is hosted by Jimdo©, as well as our content management system. We cannot rule out that Jimdo© does use Google Analytics, Facebook Analytics or any other tool to track user’s activity. For more information, please check the Jimdo© privacy policy.

USERS OF CONTACT FORM

If you use the contact form of this website, you agree that the EADP stores your email and the content of the email in an EADP email account.

YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

If you wish to join EADP as a member you are asked to create a personal EADP account at EADP.INFO. This account is uniquely linked to your e-mail address. Certain personal information is required to create the account, and is stored in your profile: salutation, first name, last name, email, password (not accessible by us), phone number, nationality, institute address, research interests, whether or not you wish to receive the journal, whether or not you wish to receive email information about the association, events and the newsletter.


Your personal information is stored for various purposes:


First, we, the EADP council, collects some information about our members, because we have the want to support you as good as possible. Hence, we need some information about your research topics and your institution to organize relevant conferences and summer schools as well as providing you with appropriate information about the association and the developments in the field.


Second, having a personal EADP account allows you to keep track of your membership history. It is a way of creating transparency for each EADP member about their EADP history.

Third, your contact details are used for communication. When you join EADP as a member, one of the membership benefits entails that you are informed about EADP activities, calls, and special announcements. By default, you will not receive any emails. You can, however opt in through the EADP membership account.

2.    Login into your membership account using your username and password
3.    Click on you name
4.    Click on edit profile
5.    Scroll to the third entry of the membership form named "contact"
6.    There are two options under contact: Agree vs. disagree. If you want to receive Emails and the newsletter select “Agree”
7.    Save & Logout


You can change this setting at any point, by selecting “Disagree” in the contact field.


At all times, you can update or change your personal data in our database, through your EADP account. If your personal data is no longer needed for the purpose for which the data was originally collected and no new lawful purpose for processing exists, your data will be deleted. You can also request to have your account entirely deactivated in our database by contacting the EADP Office at membership@eadp.info. Some information – such as membership history and orders – are stored for legal and accountancy purposes for the legally required term of seven years. At regular intervals, outdated and expired information is deleted from our systems and archive.

 

Your personal information is never shared with third parties for commercial ends. EADP does not provide, sell or rent members’ information to anyone outside the organisation. We make every reasonable effort to prevent any loss, misuse, disclosure or modification of personal information, as well as any unauthorised access to personal information.


EADP uses Wild Apricot© as membership system. This service provider declares to be GDPR compliant, https://www.wildapricot.com/gdpr. This means that our membership service provider makes sure that your rights can be protected.

When placing an order through our membership tool, you can opt to pay by

(3) PayPal.

 

 

For each option, payment information is processed by EADP as well as our online payment provider Stripe© and our bank (ING Bank).

 

Didn't get our emails?

Since 2018 the EADP follows new regulations according to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Hence we only send emails to those members who agreed to receive information. If you want to be contacted, please follow the steps described here.
